N01 Overpass N01-308A/B, Lenzburg

A 6-lane expansion is planned on the N01 between Aarau Ost and Baden West over a length of 14.6 km. The project is part of the Strategic Development Program (STEP) for the further development of the national road network. Construction is currently expected to start as early as 2031 and take around six years. Extensive structural modifications to existing engineering structures are already being carried out in preparation. The N01-308 overpass in Lenzburg comprises a highly frequented SBB bridge on the Zurich - Bern railroad line and a road overpass. The existing bridge piers were replaced with reinforced concrete walls and all bridge bearings were also replaced. As part of the project planning, Ecosens AG carried out various material investigations and sampling under traffic conditions. During the subsequent construction phase, Ecosens was commissioned with the environmental construction supervision (UBB). The project was realized under traffic conditions from February to December 2024 and thus lasted around one year.
