Order radon dosimeter

So that you know where to expect RADON

Measuring point recognized by the FOPH

Since January 1, 2018, a new radon reference value of 300 Bq/m³ (previously 1000 Bq/m³) has applied in Switzerland in accordance with the new Radiation Protection Ordinance. This emphasizes the increased importance of managing radon exposure throughout the country. The average radon gas concentration over the year should not exceed this reference value in rooms where people regularly spend several hours a day. With the help of dosimeters (short-term or long-term measurement), the radon concentration in indoor air can be measured easily and inexpensively.

Ecosens AG is a measuring station for radon recognized by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH).

Order process

  • Delivery of dosimeters with measurement instructions by post

  • Installation of the dosimeter by you:
At least 2 separate living spaces with long periods of occupancy (e.g. living room, bedroom, children's room) preferably in the area with ground contact or on the lowest occupied floor
Recommended: Additional measurement(s) in the basement, in rooms with high radon potential (e.g. cellar with natural floor).

  • Measuring duration
BAG-approved radon measurement / long-term measurement: minimum measurement period of 90 days during the heating period (October-March). If possible, we recommend an exposure period of 1 year (the longer, the more meaningful the result as an annual average value).
Short-term measurement / indicative radon measurement: minimum measurement duration 2 - 4 weeks

  • After the measurement, send the dosimeter back to us:
    Ecosens AG
    Grindelstrasse 5
