«Military Barracks» – Contaminant Remediation in a Historic Building
Since 2022, Ecosens AG has been supporting the Canton of Zurich’s «Zurich Military Barracks—Comprehensive Renovation and Conversion» project in the city of Zurich in the area of building contaminants. The project began with existing third-party expert reports, on the basis of which we conducted targeted, detailed investigations and compiled all findings into a comprehensive documentation. The client is the Department of Public Works of the Canton of Zurich.
Completion of Construction Work on the New SABA Kefikerbach Building, Kefikon, ZH / TG: Environmental Construction Supervision (UBB) and Soil Science Construction Supervision (BBB)
To bring highway drainage up to current technical standards, the Federal Roads Office (ASTRA) is planning to construct several new road stormwater treatment plants (SABA) along the N01 and N07 in the border region between the cantons of Zurich and Thurgau. In the future, after passing through a settling tank with an oil separator (already in place), road runoff will also be treated in a retention filter basin with reed beds before being discharged into a stream as the receiving water body.
