Acceptance measurements for airtightness (blower door) Frauenfeld indoor swimming pool
Blower door measurement Frauenfeld indoor swimming pool
The project
Location: Frauenfeld (ZH)
Client: City of Frauenfeld
Phases: Airtightness measurements (blower door) for building label / Minergie-P-ECO
Duration: 2023
The new Frauenfeld indoor swimming pool was built in accordance with the requirements of the Minergie-P-ECO building label. For certification, the airtightness of the building envelope had to be tested using measurement technology.
Creation of the airtightness measurement concept and negotiation with the Minergie expert body
Positive and negative pressure test with the Blower Door system
Determination of the air permeability (qE50 - value) in accordance with standard SN EN ISO 9972 and the guideline on airtightness in Minergie buildings (RiLuMi)
Leak detection with thermal imaging camera / smoke sticks
Preparation of test certificates in accordance with the Minergie-P standard
Challenges
Air tightness measurement and leak detection in a large, complex building.
The airtight level of the building corresponded to the thermal building envelope, which is why the entire building was measured as one measurement zone.
Due to the size of the building, two blower door devices had to be installed and coupled on different floors.
