Elementary school Wilen

In the elementary school in Wilen bei Wil, the legal reference value for radon of 300 Bq/m³ was exceeded in common rooms. In order to effectively reduce the radon concentration, a subfloor extraction system was installed under the floor slab of the classrooms in contact with the ground. The ventilation system also ensures that the basement is ventilated. This measure ensures a sustainable reduction in radon concentrations and compliance with legal requirements as well as an improvement in the indoor climate in the basement. Ecosens AG supported the building owner and the companies involved in the implementation and carried out the control measurements.
