The new construction of the provisional laboratory building of the University of Zurich at the Irchel campus in Zurich was carried out according to the specifications of the SGNI and Minergie-P-ECO building labels. For certification, the airtightness of the building envelope had to be tested by measurement.

 

Our services

  • Preparation of the airtightness measurement concept and negotiation with the SGNI / Minergie expert body
  • Over- and underpressure test with the Blower-Door system
  • Determination of air exchange rates (qE50 - value according to measurement standard RILUMI)
  • Leakage detection with fogging / smoke sticks
  • Execution and evaluation according to the current guidelines SWKI VA 104-01 (VDI 6022 part 1)
  • Preparation of test certificates according to standard SGNI / Minergie-P/-A

Challenges

  • The airtight level of the building corresponded to the thermal building envelope, so the entire building was measured as one measurement zone
  • Careful inspection for systematic or single leaks throughout the building
