GI - Good indoor environment

The GI GUTES INNENRAUMKLIMA® label offers building owners security with regard to the indoor climate in new buildings and conversions as well as in existing buildings. To obtain the label, qualified measuring institutes check that the highest standards of indoor air quality are met. As an independent label, it is characterized by simple applicability, low costs and direct practical relevance.

Numerous studies have shown that a good indoor climate increases employee performance and reduces absenteeism
In construction projects, it is therefore crucial that the design, choice of materials and planning of ventilation systems focus on creating a perfect indoor climate.

Standardised and representative measurements are essential for issuing any statements on the quality of the indoor environment. In order to achieve certification according to GI GUTES INNENRAUMKLIMA®, it must therefore be proven, once the construction is complete, that the certificate values that have been defined according to scientific criteria can be adhered to in the interior air. This gives the owners of the building certainty that the indoor environment does not suffer from any deficiencies that would impair the well-being of users of the building, or even damage their health.

How does the certification process work?
S-Cert AG, the Swiss certification body for construction products, is responsible for the correct implementation of the certification and compliance. The regulations and the application documents are available on the S-Cert website www.s-cert.ch. As the new owner of the trademark rights, Ecosens AG is currently working on revising the existing regulations. The aim of this revision is to adapt certain measurement parameters in order to further increase the added value for both the owners and users of the building. In addition, the label will receive broader support through the involvement of various experts and institutions. If you are currently planning a certification, please contact us. Further information, together with details of buildings that have already been certified, can be found at www.gutesinnenraumklima.ch

Benefits of certification:

  • Buildings with a good indoor environment have added value
  • A good, pollutant-free indoor environment increases the well-being and performance of those using it
  • Applying the strictest requirements for indoor air quality increases safety
  • The statements made by the label are quantifiable, credible and communicable
  • The seal of quality can be used as a stand-alone label or as an addition to other building labels (recognition by Minergie-ECO)
