In the seventies and eighties possible health risks or future recycling of building materials and their additives were disregarded in favour of their functionality and low costs.

A lot of those materials have to be remediated or replaced after the expiration of their life cycle. Unforeseen additional costs may arise due to legal requirements as to handling and disposal. Prominent examples thereto are asbestos and PCB.

As a result of modern windows and doors, which are almost airtight, the indoor air is less exchanged and the pollution increases. The consequence is bad indoor air quality that affects our well-being and that may have damaging implications on our health at the worst.

The people concerned may file suit and demand compensation for damages due to indoor pollution.
Ecosens offers comprehensive services as regards indoor pollution / sick building syndrome. Qualified specialists survey buildings and identify the sources of pollution. They assess any call for action from a technical and legal point of view and suggest further proceedings.

Apart from consulting our clients in setting up a strategy we professionally accompany remediation measures as well as monitor their results. In addition, we support our clients as regards communication with the competent authorities.
